Does this website spring from any particular institution?

It might be said to ‘spring from’ Cyberspace Engineers – an organisation I set up with the intention of building a large scale virtual environment using distributed (aka peer-to-peer) technology (and GPL software), but that stalled due to antagonism from copyright based industries against implementation of (and funding for) such technologies.

Digital Productions is simply a blog site I created to document issues and progress in the process of creating a revenue mechanism that doesn’t rely upon copyright (or patent). It is a spare-time effort and currently receives no funding (not even from advertising). Ultimately it is hoped to receive funding from those who would support this non-copyright based revenue mechanism I have been developing, i.e. The Contingency Market

It is in the process of performing due diligence (to ascertain whether copyright has a future in online revenue mechanisms) that I have discovered its unethical basis, and thus the strong indication that it has a very limited future. The rightful liberty of the people is ultimately a stronger force than commercially lobbied privileges, and why copyright will become increasingly ineffective rather than be reinforced by draconian ‘re-education’ of the public.
